Pilot Benefits on UK contracts

Annual leave
The Pilot's contractual entitlement is for 132 days off per year. The entitlement consists of 104 days off, 20 annual leave days and 8 public holidays. A Pilot is entitled to 20 days annual leave which is allocated via an online bidding system. In addition, Pilots may also elect to take an additional 5 GDOs (Guaranteed Days Off) throughout the year, although this is not classified as leave, it is treated on an equal footing to other leave days and it is not reclaimed by the company.

Pension
All Pilots will be entitled to a 7% of basic salary pension contribution from the company paid into the existing easyJet scheme. This entitlement will be paid (providing the Pilot applies to join the scheme) on an unmatched basis. That is, it will be paid whether or not the individual contributes. In addition, a further 2% will be paid directly to individuals pensions under the SMART pension agreement. Individuals can opt out of the 2% pension contribution and have it paid as salary at their request. This is of benefit to members who have reached the new 'pension cap' or who choose to make private investment choices outside of the company scheme.

Loss of License Insurance
Currently 1.3 times salary.

Death in Service and Personal Accident Insurance
Death in Service cover is 4 times basic salary. Personal accident insurance gives cover for prescribed injuries or disablement.

Aircrew Medicals
Flight Crew will be reimbursed for the actual cost of one Class One Medical Certificate renewal per year, based on CAA/JAA requirements and recommended charges.

Uniform
A uniform allowance of £17.33 per month will be paid in salary. This payment will allow Pilots to purchase new items of uniform as and when they need them, with the minimum of administration required.

If any change to style of uniform occurs, the value of the allowance will be reviewed and the Company will provide the initial issue of any item that has changed in style. Initial purchase of the uniform on joining the Company would be the responsibility of the individual.
