Assessment Process
Successful applicants will be invited to attend our Assessment Day which is designed to enable us to assess individuals closely. The Pilot Assessment Day consists of the following elements:
Presentation and Q and A
A brief presentation will be given by the Recruitment Team about easyJet and the current options available to Pilots. Following this you will have the opportunity to ask the team or the Pilot Assessors any questions.
Technical Test
You will be asked to sit a short multiple-choice technical questionnaire based on ATPL theory. There are 40 questions to complete and you will have 30 minutes in order to do this.
Group Exercises
You will be asked to participate in a group exercise with your fellow candidates. This is a fun, yet informative exercise and this is our opportunity to see your behaviour for the first time in a group setting.
Personal Interview
This is competency-based and technical interview combined. We will be looking for detailed examples from your work history which demonstrate the competencies that we are looking for. Ideally, these examples should come from your previous aviation background but this is not necessary should you find another example, which better fits the competency.
During the second half of your interview, a qualified Pilot Assessor will ask you a series of technical questions.
You will be given feedback on your performance throughout the day; if successful, you will be briefed on your simulator assessment, which will take place the following day. If unsuccessful, you will be advised at this point of the day.
SIM Assessment
If you are successful through the Assessment Day you will be asked to attend a simulator assessment the following day.
Your easyJet SIM Assessment will be a 4 hour process where you will be assessed along with 3 other candidates. You will be paired and each partner will operate for one hour as Pilot flying and one hour as Pilot non-flying.
Your SIM ASssessment will be conducted by a CTC Assessor who will provide easyJet with a report on your performance. Once received, easyJet will provide you with feedback on this part of your assessment usually within 10 working days.
Please note that if you are successful through the entire assessment process and you are offered a position with easyJet, if you hold a European National JAA licence, you must be prepared to exchange it for a UK JAA licence.
