Salary

A cabin crew member's salary is comprised of a number of different elements:

  • Basic pay is the fixed non-flight related element of the salary.
     
  • Sector pay is payable for each sector, or flight, that is flown as cabin crew. The amount payable is dependent on the crew member's rank and also the length of the sector.
     
  • Overnight allowance is payable if, for operational reasons, you are required to spend a night away from base in a hotel provided by the company.
     
  • Uniform allowance Cabin crew are required to pay for their initial uniform, the cost of which is deducted in installments directly from their salary.
     
  • Language payments Cabin crew who speak a language of a country to which we fly to a fluent level, will receive a language payment. The amount received is dependent upon the number of languages spoken. This will be pro rata if you are on a fixed term contract.
     
  • Commission Cabin crew are entitled to receive commission on all items that they sell from the easyKiosk.
     

Please note:

If you are a tax resident in Germany then you are liable to pay German tax on all of your income, excluding the amounts that are taxed in the UK. You will be entitled to claim back UK tax contributions.

Benefits

easyJet also offers cabin crew the following benefits:

  • Staff travel Unlimited staff travel on the entire easyJet network is available for cabin crew and three nominated companions after completion of their training course.
     
  • Pension easyJet will pay 5% of a cabin crew member's annual basic salary into a fully portable pension scheme.
     
  • Holiday entitlement Cabin crew can receive a maximum of 30 days pro rata annual leave subject to the contract offered. More information is provided on a cabin crew Assessment Day.
     
  • Life insurance A life insurance policy covers easyJet employees for death in service; in which case a payment of twice annual basic salary is made to a previously nominated beneficiary.
