Assessment Centres

We offer 2 types of assessment at easyJet. Both are similar in content but differ in duration. An assessment day is your opportunity to really make an impression. Dress appropriately for an interview but also bear in mind that the days can be quite long - so ensure that you are also comfortable.

Assessment day: This is a 1 day assessment and is by invitation only.

Open days: These are often 2 day assessments. If you see an Open Day advertised near you then please come along and bring your passport and CV with you. You will be given the opportunity to participate in ability tests and group exercises. If successful through these, you will be invited to return for a formal interview, usually on the following day.

Presentation

An informative presentation and your opportunity to ask any questions directly to the recruitment team and easyJet cabin crew. We will be looking for you to get involved and show your enthusiasm.

Ability Tests

You are required to complete a short Maths and an English test on your assessment day. It's a minimum requirement that you have a good understanding of Maths and English and we recommend that if you have a GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in both subjects you will be able to sit these tests comfortably.

It is a requirement that you can speak fluent English so you need to be confident that your English is good enough to attend an assessment day and indeed a training course in English with us.

If you can answer the following sample questions you should pass the ability tests comfortably. You can use a calculator for the Maths test. Should you have any special learning requirements during the ability tests then we are happy to accommodate you wherever possible.

Example Maths Question:

On the return flight from Amsterdam to Luton, with 146 passengers onboard, you sell (Euro)1256.50 worth of products. In GBP (sterling), what is the average spend per passenger on this flight?

  1. £5.89
  2. £12.59
  3. £4.32

(£1 pound sterling = €1.46 EUROS)

Example English Question:

Harry: "What time does your flight leave?"

Claire: "Our departure is scheduled for 7.45 in the morning. Could you take me to the airport?"

Harry: "Sure. We'll have to leave the city at about 5 o'clock then."

Claire: "Sounds good."

Question: What time does Claire's flight leave?

  1. 7.45 am
  2. 5 am
  3. 7.45 pm

If you are successful through your ability tests, you will go on to take part in the next group exercise part of the day.

Group Exercises

During the second part of the day you will be asked to participate in up to 2 group exercises. These are fun, yet informative exercises and this is our opportunity to see your behaviour for the first time in a group scenario.

Personal Interview

If you have got though to this stage, then you have performed well throughout the day. Now it's our opportunity to learn more about you. During the interview we will be looking for certain competencies and you are required to give specific and detailed examples from your work history which demonstrate the competencies explained previously on your assessment day. Please see our interview tips section on how to create the best possible impression.

Feedback

You will hear the outcome of your assessment usually within 7 working days. We are unable to provide individual feedback if you are unsuccessful.
